SM Entertainment has announced that SM TOWN LIVE in TOKYO SPECIAL EDITION is being postponed and rescheduled. Although originally scheduled for April 9th and 10th, the popular music experience has been moved to September 3rd and 4th.

SM TOWN LIVE in Tokyo was held back in January at Yoyogi National Gymnasium. With Tohoshinki making their first appearance in almost a year at the event, there was much attention and craze building up for it. The artists of SM Entertainment brought in an impressive total of 24,000 fans in their two day tour. With this insane popularity, SM Entertainment had scheduled another leg of their tour at the Tokyo Dome just for the Japanese fans that couldn’t make it in January.
Originally planned for April 9th and 10th, representative of SM Entertainment have decided to reschedule the event to support the efforts in conserving electricity for those affected by the earthquake and tsunami. Representatives spoke, “We discussed about this many times. The conclusion we came to was rather simple, ‘We will do whatever we can to help.’ Now is the time to believe in the power of entertainment and the artists will put their all in their performances to prove that power.”
Although SM TOWN LIVE in TOKYO SPECIAL EDITION may be postponed, there is no doubt that fans are still excited for appearances by BoA, Tohoshinki, Shoujo Jidai, SUPER JUNIOR, SHINee, f(x), and more.
